Swift Elite 4 Features

This list below explains some of the features present in Swift Elite 4.0. The trial is provided to examine all the features of the program.

Requirements:

  • Windows XP SP2+, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
  • Fast CPU (1.8 GHz or higher)
  • Sound Card (single or multiple)
  • A 3D Accelerated Card (DirectX 9 or greater capable)
  • Atleast 64 MB of Video Memory
  • Around 256 MB RAM (min. today is 4 GB)
  • 100 MB Hard-Drive space (min. today is 320 GB)
  • CD+G Compatible Drive (if you intend to convert CD+G Discs)
  • A collection of Movies, MP3+G® 's, and MP3's
Swift Elite takes advantage of DirectShow and Direct3D features - we use DirectX APIs, as such we recommend you have the latest version installed and most updated drivers from the manufacturer of either your machine or the video card manufacturer. Most systems today come with the latest DirectX installed, however if you are using an older XP machine you must install DirectX 9.0c. The latest Codecs installed are required to allow various media types. Today we can utlize a free universal codec that covers all the latest formats called FFDShow - install this if you require support for formats not normally used on a PC (such as MP4).

If Direct3D is not available the program will warn you at the beginning and attempt to use the default adapter, if it is still not available the program will not "Not Available" and exit.

Cross Fade Notes:

Fading can begin at either Deck (fading occurs between decks). If you only need the video to fade visit the preference in General Options and check the Crossfade Video Only (separate the Audio from the Video Faders). Configuring for a "Mix Now" button, enable the "Engage Deck w/ Manual Crossfade" option to have destination deck begin at cue point (or restart) when the crossfade is engaged.

Pictures and Video Sources:

Pictures and Video Sources will default to 2 minutes at first run (this option can be changed for both media types). A playlist item length can be changed using the List/Enter Item Time. Any video source that registers by the computer as a capture device will be listed, this includes Webcams, DV devices (camcorders), and Digital Cameras.
