iSwiftRemote Connect Instructions
To open your connection and test it do as follows:
- Turn on your main machine and check your IP - open command prompt and type ipconfig
- Once you know the IP, run Swift Elite and open the Startup options and start the Control Server (make sure it is not the Remote Request
Server, that's not the one). If you don't see the other startup on the right then you need build 40004
- Once started, minimize Swift Elite and open your firewall - check that Swift Elite is not blocked
- Go to another machine (just for this test) and open a command prompt, then type (replace 192.168.x.x with the address you obtained):
ping 192.168.x.x
Does it return? If it does, continue - it doesn't, fix the firewall and router.
- Turn on the iPod, open the WiFi settings - get connected to the network
- Run the Safari browser and make sure you can browse the internet
- Run the iSwiftRemote app and enter the ip address - the connect will happen.
