  • How do I register?
    - Download and install the software (this is required to test the features).
    - Run the software on the computer you wish to register.
    - Find the player code (if applicable - see below).
    - Go to our ordering page or the product to the shopping cart.
    - Choose your prefered method of payment (if choosing the order page).
    - Include your previous customer number (if applicable).
    - Paying by credit Card with ShareIT will provide you an activation code immediately after the charge is approved.
    - Go back to the program registration screen and fill in the information as explained in the information.

  • The computer I want to use doesn't have internet access... Can I still register?
    - Yes, if you have internet access on another machine.
    - Download the software then transfer it to the computer you wish to use. You may need to write the file to a CDR, CDRW, ZIP disk or other removable media.
    - The file you download is NOT customized or modified in any way at the time of download. The same file can be installed on multiple machines. The player code is generated from the machine the software is installed on.
    - Follow the above to register.

  • My friend doesn't have internet access at all... Can he still register?
    - Yes, you can register for him using your internet connection and your e-mail address, OR
    - You could print out our "Register by mail" form for him to fill out and send to us along with payment by cheque or money order. Be sure to include the player code and an/your e-mail address or his phone number so we can send the authorization code to you/him.

  • Do you accept Credit card payment?
    - Yes, via a third-party shareware-oriented service called ShareIt
    - ShareIt will process your credit card order on their secure site and send you an e-mail confirmation with ShareIt order number.
    - Your order will either be processed immediately prooviding the license information on the last page of the order or When we receive notification of your payment it will be processed (for orders that are required to supply a player code or CD-ROM order).

  • Why won't you take my e-mail address when I try to order with Credit card?
    - ShareIt have policies in place regarding certain "free" e-mail services and will not process orders using those addresses.
    - Generally, if the e-mail service lets "anyone" sign up (in otherwords there is no accountability) then there is a good chance ShareIt will not accept the address.
    - Exactly which services are blocked is totally under ShareIt's discretion and TriceraSoft has no control of their policies.
    - We recommend using an alternate e-mail or electronic payment service.

  • What is PayPal and how does it work?
    - PayPal allows you to pay for products/services over the web. It was initially designed for online auctions.
    - You must be a member of PayPal to send/receive money. Signing up is easy but the verification process can take up to several weeks.
    - If you are NOT already a member and want to purchase our software we suggest you use our credit card service instead.
    - To purchase our software via PayPal you must go to PayPal.com and send the appropriate payment amount to "supportagents@tricerasoft.com". AFTER that you can fill out our PayPal registration form, which will include your player code. When we receive your payment and form you will be sent your customer number and authorization code within about 48 hours.

  • Where do I find the player code?
    - Products that include a player code but are not the latest may require that you supply a player code to produce an activation code.
    - Left-click on the menu button, or Right-click on an empty area to display the program menu.
    - Select "register" from the menu.
    - The registration screen will be displayed:



    - The player code is printed in white on a red background.
    - WinCDG codes start with WCG, Pro1 starts with WCP, and Pro2 starts with WCP200.

  • What is the Player Code for?
    - The player code is a unique code based on your computer system. It is used for registration to ensure that the software only runs on the system it is registered for.
    - When you are registered you are given another unique "activation" code to enable full functionality of your player on the specified system. Both numbers are registered to you and both are required to enable your software. The code will not work on any other system.
    - You are not required to supply a player code with all latest TriceraSoft products.


  • Will my software run on my second computer?
    - Older products will not work with the same code. See above. You must register a copy for EACH computer you wish to run the software on.

    - New activation codes are not limited per computer, although for supporting multiple machines you require to activate multiple licenses (volume discounts available - please contact us).
  • Why did you choose this method?
    - We chose this for several reasons. The Karaoke market is relatively small and specialized. We started in 1998 with freeware and want to provide products that are affordable yet still full-featured. We believe this is the best way to ensure our products are affordable for the most people yet still remain viable and competitive in the marketplace.

  • Will my KMF files play on my friends computer?
    - No, not completely. KMF files are registered for your own personal use. When played on an un-registered player or someone elses player they will play for a maximum of 60 seconds.

  • Will my KMF files play on my second computer if I purchase two copies of the software?
    - Yes, provided EACH copy is registered to the SAME user. KMF files are registered to the USER not the player.

  • What if I have to reinstall WinCDG. Will it still work?
    - Yes. The player code is unique to the computer and is the same each time you run or re-install the software on the SAME system.

  • What if my system crashes and I have to reinstall my Windows operating system?
    - When you re-install your operating system you must use the same version and Key which you used originally.

  • What if I upgrade or buy a new computer?
    - If you upgrade your operating system you should be fine. Your player code should stay the same and the player should still operate.
    - If you upgrade by doing a complete re-install or purchase a new Windows licence then your player code will most likely change and you will need a new code. If this happens please contact TriceraSoft support for assistance. Please have your original code and registration available.

  • As a registered user am I entitled to free upgrades?
    - Yes, upgrades are free for any minor release. IE: if you own 1.00 then you may freely download and run any 1.xx version. You will not need to re-register the player.
    - When a new major release is available there may be a fee to upgrade. Complete details will be made available at that time.

  • What are the restrictions on the unregistered software?
    - WinCDG: Full operation for the first 5 songs. After that playback is limited to 60 seconds, with a "NAG" message after every 5 songs.
    - WinCDG Pro: Playback is limited to 60 seconds for all songs. KMF creation is limited to 60 seconds. KMF files are unregistered.
    - WinCDG Pro 2: Playback and Extraction is limited to 60 seconds
    - WinCDG Pro 3: Playback and Extraction is limited to 60 seconds
    - JustKaraoke: 10 Full Song to Play.
    - Swift Ultralite: Trial is limited to 60 seconds Playback (requires download of full version to activate)
    - Mimic Audition 1.x, 2.x: Playback and Extraction is limited to 60 seconds
    - CDG RipperTM: 60 Seconds of Content Extraction
    - Elite Conversion Tools: 60 Seconds of Content Extraction and one file at a time
    - Swift Elite: 10 Days Full Version.
    - All other features are fully functional. Registration will remove all limitations.

  • What about refunds?
    - There are NO refunds once you receive your registration code.
    - There are NO refunds once you order your songs.
    - Song downloads are available for 48 hours before access is denied and NO refunds are issued anytime during or after.
    - Exceptions to this policy are made at TriceraSoft's discretion. Please contact TriceraSoft Support for inquiries.
    - You may evaluate the software players and utilities in UNREGISTERED mode
    for as long as you like to test and verify proper operation on your computer. If it doesn't meet your needs or work on your system do not purchase it.
    - If you find a problem or bug please report it and check back for updated releases.
